Take me to the soda shop.

With Buffalo & Bergen in DC’s Union Market, owner Gina Chersevani wanted to pay homage to her mother’s favorite childhood soda fountain. Since the name was inspired by the cross streets in her mom’s old neighborhood, we looked toward old signage and art deco fonts to bring a modern take on a timeless classic. We used a harlequin pattern on the ceiling that recalls old soda counters and diners, and chrome counter stools and vintage light fixtures take customers back to an earlier time. Modern and delicious twists on old favorites keep diners coming back.

Inspired by the classic soda shops of yesteryear, we brought a new spin on the old classics.
